With the release of RHEL 6 there are changes coming up in the Red Hat certification tracks.

RHCSA: A newbie in Red Hat Certifications

Red Hat has just released new version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, RHEL 6. With this new arrival, certifications under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 will no longer be current. RHCT Exam under RHEL 4 and RHEL 5 will no longer be offered form Red Hat. In the new line of Red Hat certifications, RHCSA has become base level certification from Red Hat.

Are you a RHCE under RHEL 4?

Become non-current 6o days after release of RHEL 6
RHCT’s can become current with an RHCSA certificate by passing RHCSA Exam (EX 200)
RHCE can re-certify by passing RHCSA Exam (EX 200) and RHCE Exam (EX 300)

Are you a RHCE under RHEL 5?

Become non-current 60 days after the release of RHEL 7. Hence it’s not necessary to re-certify under RHEL 6.
RHCT will automatically become RHCSA under RHEL 5.
RHCT’s who wish to become RHCE under RHEL 6 must pass RHCSA (EX 200) and RHCE (EX 300)

All about RHEL 6

Become non-current only after 3 calendar year
RHCSA under RHEL 6 can extend current window by passing a single exam (EX 300)

Main changes in RHCE Exam on RHEL 6 are; earlier RHCE Exam (RH302) will be replaced by RHCSA Exam (EX 200) and updated RHCE Exam (EX300). RHCSA certification is not a prerequisite for RHCE Exam. One can write RHCE exam before getting RHCSA certification. When they pass RHCSA the earlier RHCE will be considered and get RHCE Certification under RHEL 6.

IPSR now offers RHCSA training as regular and bootcamp courses.  We offer the RHCSA modules Red Hat Linux Essentials (RH033) and Red Hat Linux System Administration (RH133) along with the required RHCE modules. To know about special exam offers click here.

Welcome address Dr. Mendus Jacob

Summary of Inaugural Address by Mervin Alexander, CEO Technopark:

I am much delighted that IPSR is coming form North to South. As Trivandrum is hospitable and IT venture in Technopark is not confirmed within our campus. We equally consider outside ventures as our own ventures. All support which companies get within Technopark is offered to outside companies also. Information Technology is not confined to Technopark or Infopark, it’s all over. In a recent survey we found that there are 3oo plus companies operating outside Technopark and they achieved 20% growth from the previous year. IPSR who consistently won Asia Pacific Award shows their sincerity in work. Their venture in Trivadrum is also bound to succeed. Services from IPSR will be a great opportunity for youth, as Open Source is having great demand. I wish IPSR all success in this new project.”

Highlights of Key Note Address-Mr.Sudhir Bhaskaran-Head, Global Learning Services, Red Hat India

"I am glad to be here on behalf of Red Hat. IPSR has been a great part of Red Hat. IPSR is awarded as the best training partner for conducting maximum number of exams in the entire Asia Pacific region. IPSR is not just labeled in Kerala, not just in India, but in entire Asia. The growth of IPSR is commendable, as they were able to reach this height within 7 years.  IPSR won Asia Pacific Award for the last several years consistently. They are special for Red Hat.  A company’s progress depends on the satisfaction of clients. In training programs students are clients. Students are very happy and satisfied   with training at IPSR. Such feed backs from students are the success behind them. India needs focused trainers, who are focused on delivering quality training. So I hope IPSR will expand to other parts of India also.  Wherever I go, South India or North, always get to hear IPSR’ s name with Red Hat training. So congratulations once again and wish you all success.”
