Google edifice open source hybrid cloud powered with Red Hat open shift

The technological flare-ups in the most sought open shift services by RedHat opens a new chapter by the materialization of the steadfast container service which will be made available on Google’s cloud platform. Open source hybrid cloud application was initially introduced on AMAZON and now the technology giants Google and RedHat join hands to set a gorgeous open source hybrid cloud Services in Google cloud platform

A diplomatic alliance widening up between the two top players Google and RedHat is hyping multiple benefits to the tech world from their association, including the complementary relationship between Kubernetes and OpenShift on a win-win basis. In majority of the cloud platforms with containers technology Kubernetes is the most powerful system developed by Google, for managing containerized applications in a clustered environment. However, commentators have noted that RedHat is in the second contributor towards that project ranking next to Google.

Adding to the initiatives, the two are keen to go ahead with developing Google Cloud Bigtable and Google Cloud SQL, a model that could aid to make a superior use of data by providing access to potential GCP services.

Another move in their association is to aid Google’s project on what volume of open source hybrid cloud environment built on container technology. The component absent from the stack is the private cloud component. The Google will never figure the item itself so the company by itself will get to third party with skill sets in that front.

Microsoft with huge requirement of Linux professionals

Gone are the days when Microsoft was at war with Linux and the whole of free and open-source software movement. The tech giant now has narrowly slimmed down the rivalry, outstanding against Linux, the most successful competitor to windows. Mr. Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft and Mr. Mark Russinovich, CTO of Microsoft Azure have endorsed this sensational remark “Microsoft loves Linux” on the changed outlook of Microsoft to Linux in many occasions.

 Addressing a conference at Raleigh, North Carolina, Mr. Mark Russinovich remarked that “If you’re a Linux or open source developer, Microsoft wants to work with you, and maybe even hire you.” Also he added to 1,700 person crowd of open source and Linux coders assembled there to “Pass your resumes up,” that there are nearly about 500 job openings... 10 commandments of RHEL 7

And that RedHat breathed new life to the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Operating system there by giving birth to enthralling RHEL 7 which transcends the boundaries of an OS with vessels for containerized applications. Hence RHEL 7 is no longer just a simple OS but an abstracted component in the larger RedHat ecosystem. For a flawless understanding of the significant features of RHEL 7 it would be better to go through the following 10 Red commandments 

• RHEL 7 offers an increased support for hosting Virtualized Windows server Edition than RHEL 6 and with an updated SAMBA 4, RHEL 7 is almost a member of Microsoft network 

• RHEL 7 has the responsibility of an OS subscription model which is tuned for a stable business deployment. It prevents instance of being out of support or highly re configured.

• RHEL 7 is a huge pile of code, running 4.3GB in the DVD ISO 

• Red Hat’s support of Linux containers (LXC) which helps the users to deploy Type-2, OS-based virtualization, rather than Type-1 bare metal hypervisors. LXC allows the container to be both lightweight and highly isolating.

• RHEL 7 support project atomic which allows moving a workload from one OS to another as transparent to workload. This becomes the job of relationship stack components especially open stack. Thus once an app tests successfully as an isolatable container instance, it can become a package, much as software appliances are found and deployed.

• RHEL 7 now uses the xfs file system instead of ext4 by default. This means that RHEL can handle extremely large file systems, as much as 8 exbabyte.

• RHEL 7 offers a tighter link to Active Directory. Hence those looking for a cross platform compatibility with Windows active directory receive new Kerberos support that allow them to do this.

• RHEL 7 is easier to install and deploy: The RHEL 7 kernel update to 3.20 is similar to Canonical’s implementation. In terms of distribution RHEL7 slightly easier to deploy on bare metal, and about the same on VMware, Hyper-V, and Citrix XenServer. 

• RHEL 7 is built for business environment at the installation time one should choose from several type of base environment like minimal, infrastructure server, file and print server, basic web server, virtualization host etc.

• RHEL 7 in peppy in terms of performance Gnome is very dynamic. And optimization of varying roles could be well documented. RedHat can increase output through a new feature of network port teaming.

Some while ago I decided the time had come to leave my job as a Linux sysadmin and become self employed, taking on fixed term contracts with a variety of companies in the UK. Although I’d been a Linux sysadmin for the last five years or so (Windows sysadmin before that) I have no formal certifications to prove my competence but being certified would help me gain contracts. Checking out certification routes, and attendant costs showed that it would be best value to do the certification in India, and I’d get to visit India at the same time, something I’d long wanted to do. One more RHCE blooms at ipsr young masters club

Miracles happen…..but often rarely. Contradicting propositions at ipsr it happens frequently. It was with global amaze the world looked upon Rajat Mendus who became the youngest RHCE at the age of 11 from ipsr. The momentum and spirit of the ipsr young club were kept live and allure as the milestone of success in RHCE and RHCSS came in progression to the master kids of the ipsr. And now Master Bobby Issac has endorsed the claim of progression in success of ipsr young club by becoming RHCE certified at the age of 15.

Master Bobby Issac is a student of Grade X of Lourdes Public School. He developed a love for linux from the radiance of the success stories that reached him from the ipsr young club. This passion took him to ipsr penguin hut where he mastered the higher end concepts in Redhat linux.  And now Master Bobby Issac’s delight of success in RHCE reverberated with joy of the entire school mates and ipsr young club.

It was refreshing to take a class and actually learn something that can be applied to one's job. I have completed Redhat 6 certification from IPSR. 1 week after the completion itself I got job as system administrator in Amritapeedam, Kollam. I got the opportunity to attend the interview through IPSR. Now am enjoying my job as the sytem admin here and there are no worries regarding the job pressure as IPSR gave me everything I need to handle this job.

The course was appropriately paced and the content helped me understand the foundational aspects and the core parts of Redhat Linux Operating System. It’s a fabulous… Red…..Hat Trick

Its neither a game of cricket nor football….. Mr. Ken from Africa defines a hat trick success in Red Hat certifications by getting certified as RHCSA, RHCE and RHCVA in just one week. This awesome performance in Red Hat certifications is not a matter of chance, when determination, smart work and proper training from IPSR coined together, nothing could yield other than success. Ken remarked that he came to India with a dream to become RHCE certified through IPSR International Center and he could scale even beyond his dreams and hoping for a second entry to conquer the apex of linux certifications.

Ken is so happy that he sent us a mail, showering lavish praises on everyone and everything that he came across at IPSR. Read his own words:

It has been a long haul but I am delighted indeed to have come to study at IPSR.

I guess one has to be very prepared for a boot camp. You need the right balance of physical, mental and psychological strength.

The training was intense but for the expertise of trainers like Sanju and Mojan the sailing was smooth. The faculty was expressive and cleared all doubts convincingly. None of this would have been possible without the excellent instructions from my Trainers.

Many thanks also to the ever efficient Nandini; who’s got incredible people’s skills. I drew a lot of strength from your warm personality during those murky moments.

Vishnu would usually come up to me and ask how I was doing and if everything was going well with a sense of maturity and care.

I guess apart from my lecture and hotel rooms, I spent more time with Anish than anyone else. A hearty thanks to you. I am grateful for coming to pick me up and sending me back. And also for taking me out for shopping, helping me find alternative accommodation and buying me recharge units to call family back home. Please take your meeting and interaction with foreign students seriously as you are accumulating invaluable experience many top management executives yearn to have. Also use this opportunity to build confidence and self esteem.

I felt like a complete stranger when I entered the lab in Kottayam. Hari helped me to settle in.

I am also grateful to Sreenath of the Kottayam office who came to pick me up from the hotel to school to practice a day before the exam. I cannot over emphasize how helpful those few hours contributed to this success story.

The only name in my mind, before coming was 'Benila'. I had no clue it was feminine until Nandini mentioned it as Benila Ma’am. After meeting and speaking with her, I understood why. She is an embodiment of ‘motherly professionalism’.

The least said about Sri (Dr.) Jacob Mendus, the better. Thank you so much for your prayer at Mass.

My meeting with Sujith, Director of IT Services was essential. The guy is simply on top of his game.

Opportunities in Linux are identified as the fastest growing Job category in IT based industries.Globally Red Hat is the market leaders in the Linux space. Job opportunities for the RHCE professional are mushrooming and the short supply of the qualified IT aspirants with required competence has put the Linux based industries in great dilemma. Welcoming Anand Kurian from Canada

It is not very unusual for us to see students coming to join multiple courses at IPSR. They trust us and we work hard to deliver.

Mr. Anand Kurian is a Warranty Administrator with Nissan USA, working in Canada. He has been with Nissan USA for the past 7 years. Anand is a B E (CS) from Banglore University and later pursued M S from Macmaster University, Canada.

He is a native of Mannar, Kerala and is on a vacation. He has decided to utilize the expertise and facilities of IPSR and has enrolled in our Kottayam center. He shall be undertaking CCNA Routing & Switching, CCNA Security, MCSE, RHCSA and RHCE courses.
