Earning a Red Hat Certified Architect – Just Got Easier!

With the recent Red Hat announcement describing Program Changes in the Red Hat Certified Architect Track, things are so getting easier for RHCA aspirants. The path to earn the much coveted title has been simplified. Passing ANY FIVE CERTIFICATES OF EXPERTISE is all that you need, to achieve the title. It is good news for many who are preparing for the challenge, fantastic news for many who are in the brim of getting the RHCA certification, a little sad news for some who have already achieved the RHCA through the rocky roads of it. However, we believe it is a good change, and we welcome. Get ready guys!

Red Hat Certification – The Program Changes

The professional certification program of Red Hat takes a vivid change from May 15 2014. The new implementation is lively, as there is more flexibility in the Certificates one might choose to earn towards being a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA). The changes will also differentiate Red Hat certified professionals who are current.

Red Hat Certified Security Specialist (RHCSS) and Red Hat Certified Datacenter Specialist (RHCDS) are being phased out with the release of RHEL 7, but the more widely-known Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) program is let open providing more ways to earn that credential.

Some Main Points -

1. Effective May 15, 2014 Red Hat has lifted the requirement that one must be a current Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) to take EX401, EX413, EX436, and EX442. Read More

Ipsrian Biennale of Redhat technologies: bridging RHCA

A fete of international manifestation for mastering the contemporary technology in Redhat with intends to scale the tangible heights of RHCA. The international centre of Ipsr has become a magnetic platform for ambitious technocrats to touch the sky of Redhat technologies. The higher end session of specialization in Redhat technologies summoned for IT aspirants from Netherland and Sri Lanka has marked a good start and for this Year 2013 season has well. 

It is rather a boastful moment that Mr. Sliman Kalai from Netherlands is enjoying his second visit to India and ipsr for doing the higher certifications of Redhat. His first visit was back in November 2012 where he became RHCVA with 100% score and RHCDS from IPSR. He is now in the urge to become a RHCA. Mr. Sliman is a freelancer in Linux.and the proud owner of Kalai IT Services with ample experience in Linux. The rich ipsrian lab and hospitality, the favors of south Indian cuisine, mind-blowing adventurous cruise and trekking moments of boot camp session and the victorious moment of success has put no other option other than gods own country for his onward destination of RHCA.

The wonder man of centuries from Sri Lanka Mr. Rumesh Milan is back again to IPSR to define new wonders in Redhat certification. Mr Rumesh Milan is the first RHCDS from Sri Lanka. He is currently working as the Systems & Network Administrator at Calcey Technologies Pvt Ltd, Colombo. This time he is here for RH 333 & RH 442. His Miraculous touch of centuries (100% score) in RHCSA, RHCE, RHCVA and RHCDS is expected to continue this season too.

An Architectural Symphony of Redhat certifications: ipsr in the mirth of 5th RHCA

Following the stars the three kings reached Bethlehem to adore the new born baby in the manger. And that it is the season of lights and jingle bells to light our hearts with hope, peace and joy that Christmas brings.

By following ipsr Mr Bimal Roy Mehta, Director of Trail Blazers, Kolkata could reach the heights of RHCA the pinnacle of Redhat certification. Enjoying the cakes of Christmas Mr Bimal Roy Mehta enjoys the most delicious cake that IT industry could serve. This achievement makes him an exclusive and distinctive Architect in Redhat empowered technologies. Mr. Bimal Roy reached ipsr to master the level of competence in RH401, RH436, RH442. It is this realization to move in the radiance of ipsrian spell took him to the throne of RHCA.

Both Mr. Bimal and the entire ipsrian crew were excited at this big win. Here are the words of Bimal Roy about his experience at ipsr.

"A home away from home! That’s how I would sum up my RHCA training experience at IPSR, Kochi. From the very inception, the management and staff went out of their way to assure that my sojourn in Kochi was pleasant and comfortable in every way. The accommodation facilities suggested by Benila Madam were all fit and proper and economical, and she was also particular to enquire at all times whether I was really enjoying my stay in Kochi in all respects.

A few words about the Kochi city itself. There is an old world charm about the city with its quiet, laid back lifestyle. There is some indefinable quality – I don’t know what – but I would love to visit Kochi again and again for one reason or another. Everywhere, I came across very warm, friendly, courteous, modest, unassuming people. The churches, mosques, all the old monuments, and beaches are so picturesque. The city has also rich cultural traditions and a rich, vibrant life style – there is a quaint blend of the old and the new. A visit to the Penta Menaka Complex is a must for all electronics enthusiasts as also the spice markets which are just behind the Penta Menaka. I was able to collect good souvenirs for my friends from these markets. Owing to my busy schedules, I couldn’t find the time to explore the city in much detail, but the little that I saw left an indelible mark on my mind. And the food there with its unique fusion of Kerala and Arabic styles is something one has to experience to be able to appreciate.

Honestly, when I set out on my RHCA journey about a year back, I had a fair amount of qualms and misgivings as to how it would all turn out, considering the hefty sum I was to spend for doing the three RHCA modules, travelling all the way from Kolkata. Self-appointed advisors had chorused that all my money would go down the drain as one can never imbibe and assimilate properly via such short term courses where the instructors simply go through the motions, treating the subject matter in a very superficial and perfunctory manner. But, how wrong they were ! Not only I, but any other candidate of our batches, would readily attest to the very thorough and painstakingly perfect manner in which all the three modules were covered by our instructor, Shri Sreejith Anujam. Here was a man who not only really knew what he was talking about but was equally keen to ensure that every student did actually absorb everything he had to deliver and get their money’s worth. Our lab practice sessions always went far beyond the normal stipulated closure hours and the IPSR staff was always kind enough to extend our class timings to the extent that we might require completing our lab assignments. Needless to say, all the machines and lab equipment were measuring up to the most exacting standards. Besides, this we always availed extra practice sessions prior to exam dates, thanks again to the co-operation from IPSR staff. With their multifarious training courses going on all the time, it was not exactly an easy thing to provide extra practice lab-sessions ahead of our exams as per wishes, but our wishes were somehow accommodated most of the times. Not much time was lost even during lunch-breaks, as the choicest dishes as per our desire were delivered right into our classrooms by IPSR staff from famous eateries like the Food Court and Dominoes.

All in all, it was an unforgettable experience. For anyone intending to RHCA courses, I can think of no better place in India – and I have seen quite a many of them !"

RHCA Module: RH 442 classes @ Bangalore

Classes for RHCA module, RH 442 will be commencing on 3rd January 2011 at Bangalore. This is a golden opportunity for RHCE’s under RHEL 4 to get RHCA Certification. By the release of new version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux – RHEL 6, RHCE’s on RHEL 4 become non-current from Jan 10, 2011. So this is an appropriate opportunity for RHCE’s on RHEL 4 those wish to clear certification before Jan 09, 2011.

Bootcamp for RHCDS, RHCA modules at IPSR, Cochin

The schedules of RHCDS and RHCA exam modules at IPSR, Cochin declared. RH436(EX436) Red Hat Enterprise Clustering and Storage Management, one of the three Expertise exam modules for RHCDS, is planned to set out at IPSR, Cochin from 6th September 2010 to 9th September 2010. This 4-day course has a strong emphasis on hands-on lab activities using enterprise-class storage, server and auxiliary equipment. RH436 is designed to train people with RHCE level competency on skills required to deploy and manage highly available storage data to the mission-critical enterprise computing environment. This module is aimed at senior Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administrators and other IT professionals working in enterprise environments and mission-critical systems. Participants in RH436 should already be familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Recommended minimum competency level is completion of the RHCE or equivalent knowledge.
RH401(EX401) Red Hat Enterprise Deployment and Systems Management, one of the four-advanced 400-level Enterprise Architect courses of RHCA will get started at IPSR, Cochin from 13th September 2010 to 16th September 2010. RH401 is a four-day lab-based course that explores the concepts and methods necessary for successful large-scale deployment and management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
The certification and training is rendered straightaway by the Red Hat authority at our Cochin center.

The Third RHCA, Mr. Tejas Sevak from IPSR!!!

The path of success always starts with the right attitude, excellent planning, education, hard work and expert training. Mr. Tejas Sevak, the 3rd RHCA from IPSR proves this is true and practical. Mr. Tejas is from Gujarat, one of the most industrialized states in India. He took his B.Tech from Gujarat University and all the way he came to IPSR, Kochi for doing the master level Red Hat certification program RHCA. As a Red Hat Certified Architect, he is happy with the new achievement and says “Really, my experience with IPSR was great. I got very kind response from IPSR staff members. Mr. Reji M Cyriac, Director of Technical Services at IPSR gets RHCA, the capstone certification from Redhat, which strengthen the Linux team to move forward taking new tasks and hurdles. Being an ardent researcher, his inquisitiveness to learn advanced realms in Linux makes him now the 9th RHCA in India and the 2nd RHCA from IPSR. He also has the credit of being the first Redhat Partner Faculty in South India to become RHCSS certified. Already he is an RHCDS and now looking forward to Red Hat Certified Virtualization Administrator (RHCVA) program.

RHCVA, a performance-based Redhat certification program for virtualization administrators to make them proficient to design, implement and manage effective virtual environments. IPSR is launching the newest Red Hat Certification RHCVA Course for the first time in India.

International Centre to start on Sept 28th 2009

IPSR is celebrating Vijayadashami, the culmination of the Navarathri festival by starting an International Centre at IPSR North. Specially designed for high-tech bootcamps, the centre boasts state of the art facilities.
The first batch of RHCA will be inagurated on the same day at the centre by Arun Eapen from Redhat who will also be leading the faculty for the RHCA course.
